Faculty Feature: Pau Pujolas
This month, Associate Professor Pau Pujolas published articles in The Globe and Mail and the National Observer!
Discussing what is being perceived as a productivity crisis in Canada, he takes Canadians through understanding the nuance of measurement when we exclude Oil, an industry field that requires unique data collection. Canada’s productivity has grown at the same rate as the United States when we review it excluding the oil sector. Pau successfully presents a complex discussion in an accessible way for all Canadian’s to understand. Read the articles for yourself, and learn why productivity is not the problem we think it is!
Read the National Observer “The Canadian economy is not as doomed as some people think”.
Read the Globe and Mail here “Canada’s productivity problem isn’t that big if we exclude oil”.
