Quest Means Business – Pau Pujolas

Associate Professor, Pau Pujolas was featured on CNN last week to discuss the US Tariffs, and it’s impacts on holiday shopping.

It was only last spring that the Trump administration misquoted and took Pau Pujolas economic research out of context to justify high tariffs.

“They left a substantial part of the work on the side,” Pujolas said.

Pujolas outlines how while not everyone loses, the bulk of Americans as the consumers are losing. “All the research that any economist is doing is always creating an artificial world that resembles as well as we can, what we are observing in the data… We all find whenever we are putting tariffs, prices are going to go up.” He goes on to discuss the lingering observations as Americans are waiting on the supreme court to make decisions on these Tariffs.
