2026 ECON I Awards

Each year, the Department of Economics highlights the remarkable achievements of students in our Economics I program through the ECON I Awards.

These honours recognize outstanding performance in our core first‑year courses, Macroeconomics (ECON 1BB3) and Microeconomics (ECON 1B03). This year’s recipients exemplify the curiosity and commitment that drive success in economics.

ECON 1BB3 – Macroeconomics

The annual recipients of the ECON I awards are Hanlin Tan and Felix Lara earning top distinction in ECON 1BB3

ECON 1B03 – Microeconomics

The annual recipients of the ECON I awards are Ruiyi Sang and Srimatthush Srimanoharan achieved the highest standing in ECON 1B03.
